Info: Deepak Khanna was a distinguished lawyer whose reputation was such that even opponents treated him with great respect. Yet he was a sad man as his only son Milind had refused to become a lawyer. However a brilliant opportunity presents itself by virtue of his son falling in love with his mentor’s grand daughter Mridula. He immediately grabs the opportunity and convinces her that she should become a lawyer. He grooms Mridula and makes her into a good lawyer,even sending her abroad for further studies. After the marriage Mridula becomes pregnant and the whole family is excited and looking forward to the new arrival. But when an old friend arrives asking Mridula to prosecute in a murder case, she suddenly finds herself standing against her father-in-law – in and out of the courtroom.
