| Behind the facade of a postcard-perfect subdivision live four women whose lives are anything but idyllic. Klutzy Susan hopes that her run of bad luck with romance has finally ended now that she has married plumber-beau Mike, but the odds are not in her favor. Frazzled Lynette is struggling valiantly to cope with a recent cancer diagnosis. Ex-model Gabrielle and her ex-husband, Carlos, secretly would like to start over again, a plan that is complicated by her recent marriage to a local politician and his ill-advised dalliance with the pot-stirring Edie, who now is trying to blackmail him.
